Outdoor Classroom – Puffins trying to find enough conkers to make a hundred weight and looking for writing inspiration
We have been using our Outdoor Classroom this term for these activities:
*Exploring matter through making Potter’s potions
*Developing the use of our senses in writing by “lying down and listening”
*Tracking leaf colours and making leaf bunting
*Going cloud spotting to explore weather systems
*Learning and using WW1 Semaphore
*Collecting conkers linked to maths and our WW1 topic
*Using nature to inspire our writing with our “Senses and similes walk”
*Exploring and developing: forces, problem solving and teamwork – by making Water Walls
*Visiting War Memorials in Trefonen to develop our knowledge of local and British history
