Outdoor Curriculum

Summer Term 2019

All classes have been involved in some great activities this year, from rainy visits to Acton Scott Farm, Llanymynech Rocks, Treflach Farm, Bwlytai Woods, Woodlane nature reserve adn of course our outdoor classroom in Trefonen Field.

Hawks are also due to visit Whixall Moss reserve 9th July.

Mrs Phillips is leading the Puffins Class in working towards the John Muir Award, with some excellent outdoor work.

The class are planning a day of outdoor activities for pupils from The Meadows Primary School to take part in when they visit in June.

Robins Class have been having weekly ‘Welly Wednesdays’, where that have come to school in outdoor clothes for the day, put on their wet weather trousers and tops (kindly bought by FoTS) and got outside whatever the weather . They have been on nature walks, hunted for natural items, made stick men and looked for mini beasts to name just a few activities. Last week they had a fantastic time jumping in the biggest puddles they could find!
