A big well done to our netball team, who played matches for the first time last Wednesday.

The team travelled to the Marches for the morning. First they played in a group with three other schools. After a nervous start the team soon settled in and played well. We only let one goal in and the game finished 1-0. In our next match we scored first, then the other team equalised, unfortunately later in the game the other team scored again so it finished 2-1 against us. In our final group match we lost 2-0. In the next round of group games we drew two matches and lost the other. The team were disappointed not to win any games, but they really had played well, with some excellent defending and passes and we hadn’t conceded many goals in each match. We all agreed we had learnt a lot from playing against other teams, we had enjoyed it and we had a lot to be proud of. The Year Fives in the team are looking forward to playing next year, with a bit of experience behind them. Well done netballers!
