Robins Class

ROBINS

Reception children:

Reception children will be introduced to the concept of religion through stories. They will be taught the names of different religions and helped to identify some similarities and differences between different religious and cultural communities in this country, drawing on their own experiences and what has been read in class.

 

Year 1 children

CYCLE A

Robins  Class will study Judaism, Christianity, and Islam through the following RE investigation questions:

 

Autumn Term:

Judaism: How important is it for Jewish people to do what God asks them to do?

Christianity: What gifts might Christians in my town have given Jesus if He had been born here instead of Bethlehem?

Spring Term:

Judaism: How special is the relationship Jews have with God?

Christianity: How important is it to Christians that Jesus came back to life after His crucifixion?

Summer Term:

Christianity: What did Jesus Teach? Is it possible to be kind to everyone all of the time?

Islam: Does completing a Hajj make a person a better Muslim?

 

CYCLE B

Robins Class will study Christianity, Islam and Judaism through the following RE investigation questions:

 

Autumn Term:

Christianity: Does God want Christians to look after the world?

Christianity: Why do Christians believe God gave Jesus to the world?

Spring Term:

Islam: Does praying at regular intervals everyday help a Muslim in their everyday life?

Christianity: Why was Jesus welcomed like a king or a celebrity on Palm Sunday?

Summer Term:

Judaism: What is the best way for a Jew to show commitment to God?

Islam: Does going to the Mosque give Muslims a sense of belonging?

Top
