Science Week 2023

British Science Week 2023

13th - 17th March

Live Science Fair on Thursday 16th March 1:45-3pm

Wow! What a memorable Science Fair we had!

There were 41 projects which included 56 pupils and c30 adults. All of those involved should feel incredibly proud of themselves. Every single project was inspiring and engaging for everyone that visited. So much thought and time was put in. A huge thank you!

On Friday 17th March, we had an Antarctica Explorer visiting our school. Mr Jonathan Walton is an engineer that has been to Antarctica many times to complete research projects. He began his day with Wren Class, as they are an Oddizzi 'Champions of Antarctica 2041' class, then lead a whole school assembly. Mr Walton shared his adventures, knowledge and passion for what is a beautiful, peaceful continent in need of protection.

Also as part of Science Week, each child has received two Crest Investigator challenges to complete at home please. These two are part of eight so that every pupil achieves a Crest Investigator Award. Please check book bags for the leaflets, but also find the documents below.

Thank you for your support with our Science Week and enjoy being super scientists.

Miss Lumley (Science Coordinator)

For our Science Week, we received funding from the British Science Association. This year the grant has enabled each pupil to achieve a Crest Investigator Award, alongside funding resources for the week. We were very lucky to receive this grant so feedback about activities that engaged pupils and families during the week is appreciated. Please find links to the different forms below.

Thank you for your support and time,

Miss Lumley (Science Coordinator)
