2023/2024

Well done to all the fantastic cross-country racers for participating in the race on Thursday 5th October, at The Marches. The year 3/4 and 5/6 girls represented the school superbly, with top finishing positions. There were lots of boys in the Year 3/4 race and they were really enthusiastic and are now looking forward to competing again. The Year 5/6 boys’ race was also very well represented with six boys, who were all fantastic. Two boys finished in the top 5! We are looking forward to seeing you all again in the next race. Thank you to parents and carers, for all your support, helping with transport and cheering the pupils on.

2022/ 2023

The final race took place on Wednesday 17th of May, at The Marches, and a fantastic 21 children were running. All the children showed wonderful determination and thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this great event, organised by The Marches. We were delighted that in the prize giving, at the end of the event, the Year 3/4 boys’ team came 3rd out of all the schools who participated (15) and the Year 5/6 boys came an impressive 1st , in their category. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and carers who came to support the children and cheer them on! A HUGE well done to all of our fabulous racers and we look forward to seeing you all at Cross-country club next Autumn term.

A fantastic 24 pupils took part in the third Cross-country race of the season, representing our school brilliantly. The children always show wonderful enthusiasm, determination and camaraderie at these events.  Being part of the event is always such a pleasure - Brilliant effort everyone - Very well done! We're also looking forward to seeing all these racers competing again in the final race on Wednesday 17th May. Your child will receive a letter with details of the race arrangements. Many thanks for your continued support.

We have already had the first two cross country meetings of the year and some excellent results. A fantastic 22 pupils from Year 3-6 took part in the first race, with some children racing for the first time. They all had a great time and showed incredible effort and enthusiasm. All the children were very proud of their positions and we had two pupils finishing in the top 10 of their races.

In the second race 23 pupils took part. Despite the drizzle, they had a great time. All the children did really well and we had three pupils finishing in the top 10 of their races.

2021

We were delighted to return to the Marches for cross country races after a break due to Covid. Things were different this year as parents were not able to stay to watch their children compete for most of the events, but our team made up for this and they all cheered each other on as they raced. It was lovely that parents were able to attend the final meeting.

6th June

It was an incredible final for our amazing Cross-country runners on Thursday 26th May. Despite the very wet conditions the children were fantastic and loved the support from parents/carers/siblings, who were invited to watch for the first time this year.  We are all so proud of the wonderful runners who have taken part this year.

We had three individual medal winners: A year 6 girl's individual gold medal, a year 4 boy's individual gold and year 4 girl's bronze. The Boys Year 3 and 4 Team came 3rd overall and Year 3 and 4 Girls Team came 2nd - what incredible results.

Thank you again to parents for supporting the events by watching the final and taking/collecting your children. We are looking forward to Cross-country club and events next year.
