YEAR 3 DANCE COMPETITION December 2024

On Wednesday a group of Year Three pupils took part in our very first dance competition. It was only the second year that the Marches had held the event and it was very exciting. The morning started with a dance display by some Marches pupils, who were excellent. Next, each school took their turn to perform for the Marches pupil judges. We had been given a set routine to learn, which we had been using as our afternoon movement breaks in the classroom during the term. We also had to add our own choreography to two sections of the dance. We added lots of children's ideas to build up our dance. Our team of pupils danced their socks off! They smiled all the way through and really went for it. Miss Taylor and I were so, so proud of them and just couldn't stop smiling ourselves. This year we didn't score highly on points, but it absolutely didn't matter- the most important thing was how much we enjoyed dancing. The children all said they had felt nervous, excited and they loved it! Wonderful!
