Year 5 rounders

This week was the Year 5s Rounders Tournament, at the Marches and we took another fantastic rounders team: Out of 6 schools we came an amazing 2nd! Winning our first match 6 v 4 ½ against Gobowen; winning 5 ½ v 3 ½ against Bryn Offa; winning 5 ½ v ½ rounder against Whittington; drawing against Our Lady's 3 ½ v 3 ½ and losing 4 v 2 ½ to Oswestry School. Everyone had an amazing time and wanted to play rounders again when we got back to school! Fantastic effort from all of our rounders teams who represented our school- you were a pleasure to take.

Year 6 rounders

The Year 6 Rounders Team had a great morning at The Marches for the area Rounders competition. All the matches were incredibly close. There were some great catches, super back-stopping, fantastic rounders and loads of half-rounders. The team reflected on encouraging each other and how important being positive is. Our first match finished 6 v 4 to the other team. The second match finished 5 v 4 to the opposition and in our final match we drew 4 all. It was a wonderful morning, we enjoyed sitting in the sun and watching the final!

2019

Our rounders teams travelled to the Marches School, where they won all but one of their first group matches. This placed them in the play-off group, where they won all of their matches and finished top of the group. Well done to you all, excellent
